Brees breaking Unitas’ TD passing record

Congrats to New Orleans Saints’ QB Drew Brees for breaking Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas record for throwing a touchdown pass in 48 consecutive games, a record that was over 50 years old.  This feat was accomplished with a 40-yard touchdown to Devery Henderson during the New Orleans’ 34-27 victory on Sunday night in the Louisiana Superdome. This was Brees’ 100th start as a Saint.

Last season the Saints’ QB broke Dan Marino‘s single-season passing record with a touchdown to Darren Sproles against the Atlanta Falcons the day after Christmas.
