San Francisco Giants win the 2012 World Series with a SWEEP!

Congrats to the San Francisco Giants!

I’ll admit it, I picked the Detroit TIgers to win the 2012 World Series in 6…maybe 5 if they got on a hot streak early, but I surely didn’t think they would get swept.  Once again congrats to the San Francisco Giants for winning the 2012 World Series, their 2nd title in 3 seasons.

The first three games of the series was a breeze for the Giants, but in Game 4 the Tigers was gonna go down fighting.  Game 4 had to go the 10th inning where Marco Scutaro had to produce a clutch hit (a single) to bring Ryan Theriot in for the score to put the Giants ahead 4-3; Giant’s closer Sergio Romo put the nail in the Tigers’ coffin when he got the Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera looking at strike three to end the game.

Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval (aka Kung Fu Panda) took home the World Series MVP trophy, hitting .500 with three home runs (all in Game 1), a double and 4 RBI in 16 series at bats.
