Everybody is locked in where they will be in the 2012 NFL Playoffs; some teams dropped from getting a bye week and some teams were ousted because of their own doing.
The Redskins win over the Dallas Cowboys gave them the NFC East title and the fourth seed and an invitation to the Wild Card weekend while Dallas clean out their lockers and use the offseason to figure out what is the problem with the team and maybe the organization as a whole.
The Vikings’ win over the Packers in Minnesota locked them in a wild-card position and knocked out the Chicago Bears and New York Giants from postseason play.
The Texans two-game losing streak at the end of the season forced Houston from the #1 seed in the AFC, home-field advantage and a bye week down to a third seed and a wild card battle with the Cincinnati Bengals. Denver and New England jumped over Houston and landed with the AFC’s top two seeds with victories over the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins respectively.
San Francisco secured the NFC No. 2 spot and the NFC West title with a win against Arizona which moved Seattle in to a wild card berth.
