S. Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney hit on Michigan’s Vincent Smith

Speeding Truck - J. Clowney2Did anyone get the license plate on that runaway truck?  Yep, it was the number 7 and it had South Carolina (Gamecock) plates; it is registered to a Jadeveon Clowney and the roadkill was a (Michigan) wolverine named Vincent Smith.

I know everybody seen the hit the S. Carolina defensive end put on the Michigan running back in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.  The hit jarred the ball, helmet and senses from Smith.   Clowney was even able to recover the ball with one hand and advanced it two yards before being tackled. The hit set up a go-ahead score early in the fourth quarter and the Gamecocks won, 33-28.

I know it’s January 1, but that could easily be the Hit of the Year already; hits like that will make Clowney the number 1 draft pick in 2014.
