Three days after firing Rob Ryan, the Dallas Cowboys have hired Monte Kiffin as their new defensive coordinator. I’m trying not to laugh.
Kiffin, who turns 73 in February, resigned as Southern Cal’s defensive coordinator last month after spending four years on his son Lane’s staffs at USC and Tennessee. He spent 26 years as an NFL assistant coach, including a 13-year run as Tampa Bay’s defensive coordinator before returning to college football in 2009. The Cowboys are now expected to shift to a four-man front.
Okay, you get rid of Rob Ryan who was doing pretty well with the personnel he had (and who I thought should have taken Jason Garrett’s job) and bring in, with no disrespect, a 73-year-old Kiffin. The man need to sit down somewhere and stop trying to beat Father Time….HE IS UNDEFEATED!!!
This is the main reason why Jerry Jones should be an owner and just cut the checks and hire a GM. Expect the Cowboys to continue on being the Joke of the NFL.
