Green Bay Packers wideout Greg Jennings has put his house, that was close to Lambeau Field, up for sale, according to Fox Sports Wisconsin.
The Packers has a nice wide receiver corps with Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb; which means that Jennings is the odd man out. Donald Driver might be heading towards retirement.
Fox Sports Wisconsin said Jennings is asking $525,000 for his 4,788 square-foot home in De Pere, Wis., a 10-minute drive from Lambeau. The house has five bedrooms and five bathrooms on a 0.37-acre lot.
Jennings is 29, so the two-time Pro Bowler still has some prime years left in him. From 2008 to 2010, Jennings accumulated over 1,100 receiving yards every season but last year was an injury-prone year where he missed nine games because of a groin injury.
As the 2006 second-round pick cleaned out his locker the day after the Pack lost to the 49ers in the playoffs, Jennings didn’t sound at all crushed at the thought of leaving Green Bay.
“I’m going to play football. I’m going to train hard this offseason and be prepared to play football next year. That’s all I can control and that’s what I’ll do. That’s what I’m best at, and I’m excited for that. They’re going to do what’s best for the Packers and the organization. And as the other half of the businessman sitting down at that table, I have to do what’s best for myself and my family.”
