After a weekend where the #2 Kansas Jayhawks lost to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Indiana Hoosiers made it their goal to go back to number 1 after they defeated the #1 Michigan Wolverines.
The Hoosiers, the preseason No. 1 who held the top spot for the first five weeks of the regular season, moved up two places Monday. Duke Blue Devils started the current streak of new No. 1s and was followed by Louisville Cardinals, Duke again, Michigan and Indiana.
The Hoosiers received 58 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel while the Florida Gators, which jumped two spots to second, got the other seven.
Michigan dropped to third and was followed by Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Arizona Wildcats, Miami Hurricanes, Syracuse Orangemen and Ohio State Buckeyes.
