I can’t help it, every time I get a chance to throw a jab at the Lakers, I’m gonna take it just like Metta World Peace tried to do in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Forward Metta World Peace has been suspended for one game because he hit Detroit’s Brandon Knight in the face; MWP grabbed Knight around the neck and struck him in the jaw with the knuckles of his mostly open hand on Sunday with 1:43 left in the first half of the Lakers’ 98-97 win over the Pistons.
It’s funny how this is the same venue where MWP (Ron Artest at the time) was the one who started the infamous “Malice at the Palace” where he started the big brawl with the Pistons fans in 2004; he served a historic 86-game suspension because of that incident. Too bad (Big) Ben Wallace wasn’t around Sunday to put MWP in his place.
The Los Angeles Lakers also will be without Dwight Howard again when they face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. He will miss his third straight game because of his painful right shoulder.
