Magic offers $1M to Lebron to enter next season NBA dunk contest

Magic's offer to Lebron

Hall of Famer and Lakers legend  is Magic Johnson says Friday during ESPN’s pregame show that he will put up $1 million if Miami Heat’s Lebron James finally enters the marquee event of All-Star Saturday night.

James never been in the most popular contest during All-Star Weekend and has always refused to enter it, but he’s recently been putting on a dunking show before Miami’s games and has given us glimpses of what we’ve been missing as he’s avoided the dunk contest; critics were made to wonder what’s the problem with competing in the annual contest, reigniting interest in seeing him take part. The warm-up jams understandably led to calls for James to finally enter the popular contest, causing him to threaten nixing the warm-up routine altogether.

Magic Johnson ”Please LeBron, get in the dunk contest. I’m going to put up a million dollars. A million dollars to LeBron. Please get in the dunk contest. I go every year. I want to see you out there. A million to the winner.”

The NBA currently pays $100,000 to the winner and $50,000 to the runner-up.
