Bengals Adam Jones slaps woman that assaulted him with beer bottle

I feel bad for Adam Jones (formerly known as Adam “Pacman” Jones) for what transpired late Wednesday night at FB’s, a downtown bar after Jones and some teammates attended a Cincinnati Reds’ game (played against the Colorado Rockies), but it goes to show when you had a bad reputation like Jones did in the past, it will follow you no matter how long it has been since the last incident; it’s not fair, but that’s how it is in today’s society.

You can clearly see in the video that Jones was approached by two intoxicated women who wanted to have their picture taken with the football player last Wednesday. When Jones refused “because he’s married and the last thing he wants is a picture with two women showing up on Twitter or something”, Shannon Wesley, 34, threw a beer bottle at him and Jones responded by slapping her.

Jones’ agent, Peter Schaffer, said he has spoken to witnesses who have corroborated Jones’ story and that he’s hoping the bar’s security video will show evidence and vindicate his client of assault charges.

You can check out the vid and come to your own conclusion.

*Shoutout to Robert Littal for the vid!

  1. I don’t think Jones should have slapped the woman. I think the much better approach would be to inform authorities. But I give him credit for being very loyal to his wife.

    • Agreed. I know it would be hard not slapping the hell out of her, but I know he has a smartphone; take a pic of the ignoramus ( I will not call her what she acted like), call the police, report the incident with the witnesses there and come out on top.

DON'T LEAVE without speaking your mind...
