IT IS OFFICIAL! Next season the Charlotte Bobcats will go back to their original name of the Charlotte Hornets, but they will not bring back the friendly and comical-looking logo. During halftime of their Saturday game against the Utah Jazz, they unveiled their new brand and look.
It’s a fierce modern version of the old logo; the Charlotte organization had something to say about their “new swag”.
“The primary logo utilizes the purple and teal color palette and features an aggressive-looking hornet that is ready to attack. Its piercing eyes, raised antennae, expanded wings and pointed stinger depict its relentless intensity.”
The Bobcats/Hornets also unveiled a more kid-friendly secondary logo that plays off the traditional mascot, Hugo.
and there is a third logo that you might find on the uniform shorts and/or the top back of the jerseys.
I personally like the new hybrid logos; for Charlotte’s sake, I hope the old saying holds true for the basketball team. “If you look good, then you feel good”….and perform on the court.
I’m just saying.
