New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was charged with four first-degree felonies and one misdemeanor stemming from an alleged incident that occurred Sunday morning of February 12 in Pittsburgh.

Revis was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, one felony count of robbery, one felony count of conspiracy (aggravated assault), and one misdemeanor count of terroristic threats.

Pittsburgh Police released a statement giving the details of an incident that took place at 2:40 a.m. ET on Sunday, where a 22-year-old male allegedly approached Revis, confirmed it was him, then began recording their conversation while continuing to follow the cornerback.

After attempts of telling the young man to stop videotaping him, an agitated Revis would later grab the 22-year-old’s cell phone and tried to delete the video. Revis then allegedly threw the phone onto the road, and a 21-year-old male went to retrieve the cell phone, causing another verbal confrontation. Both the 21-year-old and 22-year-old alleged they were punched by Revis, and said the next thing they remembered was speaking to police after being knocked out for approximately 10 minutes.

Revis’ attorney, Blaine Jones, stated that his client was walking by a group of five or six men, one of whom bumped him in the shoulder while intoxicated. Revis attempted to calm the alleged aggressor down and identified himself, while stating “I don’t want any problems from you guys.”

After walking away from the group, Revis turned around and knocked the cell phone out of the alleged aggressor’s hands, and a fight ensued. Revis sought medical attention for his injuries, Jones said.

I’m a Doubting Thomas, meaning I hear what you are telling me, but I’m looking at your actions and it might tell something different. Better yet, my rule of thumb is that there’s three sides of a story, there’s his version, her version and the truth (and or video); just so happens that TMZ Sports released the video, which shows two men laying on the ground and another man yelling in the background, bragging about knocking them out.

*WARNING:  Video below has explicit language.

The video doesn’t reveal much, but I’m almost positive that the voice bragging about knocking out the young men is not that of Darrelle Revis.  Stay tuned for future info about the incident.  Revis is due in court on Thursday.
